With ENT conditions, you typically have three types of options: medicines, in-office treatments (minor procedures), and minimally invasive surgeries (operating room). When multiple options are available, we’ll work with you to choose the one that will best fit your needs.

Dr. Steven E. Davis
BCI Founder & Medical Director
Dr. Davis is a Southern California native who specializes in ear, nose, and throat conditions. He is the Founder and Medical Director of Breathe Clear Institute, where he collaborates with the rest of our medical team.

DR. SUPRIYA MATHUR
Dr. Supriya Mathur is a board certified otolaryngologist who has been practicing medicine for 24 years. She was drawn to medicine to help and make people feel better. She strongly believes in treating patients like you would treat a loved one with trust, pragmatism and a holistic approach towards healing. Respect, communication and caring are the cornerstones of her philosophy to patient care. She likes to take care of patients of all ages and working in rural settings with limited resources has made her adept at all aspects of general otolaryngology and taking innovative approaches to get the best outcomes for her patients.
Dr. Mathur attended medical school in India at Maulana Azad Medical School in Delhi and completed her residency in Otolaryngology at University of Colorado. She has spent the majority of the last 2 decades in Alaska providing care to the underserved indigenous Alaskan communities. Her family is based in South Bay and Dr Mathur is excited to work at Breathe Clear Institute.
Outside of work, Dr. Mathur volunteers at a local clinic and within her community. She maintains work life balance through yoga, traveling, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and 2 boys. Skiing and hiking are her favorite outdoor pastimes.

Amrita Desai
Physician Assistant
Amrita Desai, PA-C attended UC Davis where she majored in Physiology and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. She relocated to Los Angeles after college to pursue a career in business. She later joined the UCLA Jonsson Cancer Center where she was involved in academic research for breast, liver, and head and neck cancers. Amrita graduated from the University of Washington’s MEDEX Physician Assistant program with a Master of Clinical Health Services degree. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed in the state of California. She is a member of the Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery and American Academy of Physician Assistants. Amrita enjoys photography and hiking with her terrier mix Cricket.
Erin Shishido
Physician Assistant
Erin Shishido, PA-C is a Physician’s Assistant. She attended UCLA and earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology before completing her graduate work in Nevada, receiving a Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Erin is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed in the state of California. She is a member of the Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the California Academy of Physician Assistants. In her spare time, she’s a true sports fan who loves to work out and go to concerts.

Leslie Mueller
Practice Administrator
Leslie is the Practice Administrator at The Breathe Clear Institute. She recently moved from Lexington, Kentucky where she was the Practice Manager for the University of Kentucky Department of Otolaryngology. Leslie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology from the University of Kentucky. She enjoys talking to patients and hearing how the Breathe Clear Institute has improved their quality of life. When she’s not working, Leslie enjoys spending time with her family, painting, visiting National Parks and going to the beach.

Patricia Alvarez
Medical Assistant Lead
Patricia was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She studied at Everest College in Gardena where she received her medical assistant certificate in 2011. Since graduating from Everest College, Patricia has been working in the ENT field. During her free time, she loves being a full time mom and enjoys spending time with her family.
JENELLE LOCKHART
Front Office Lead
Jenelle is an Arizona native who moved to the South Bay 12 years ago. She has been working in the medical field for 30 years and loves working with patients. She also enjoys hiking, beach days and spending time with family.
JEFFERY BASURTO
Surgery Scheduler
Surgery scheduler Jeffrey Basurto has been in the medical field for over 20 years. He attended Associated Technical College where he received his medical assistant certification. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, biking and snowboarding.
Krystine Belmont
Front Office Receptionist
Krystine was born and raised in Torrance, California. She has always been a caring person and loves to help those in need. She Studied at Bryman College and received her medical assistant Certificate in 2000. She has been in the medical field for 22 years and has worked with various specialists throughout the years. In her spare time, she enjoys having some fun in the sun at the beach, pigging out on popcorn at the movies, going to the gym for rest and relaxation, fishing to free her mind, spending time with her family and taking daily walks with her favorite Siberian Husky Magenta.
SUSANA BARRERA
Allergy Technician
Susana is a Southern California native who obtained her Medical Assistant Certification through Kaplan College in Dallas, Texas. After relocating back to California, she has worked as a medical assistant in various specialties such as family practice, orthopedics, and ENT. Outside of work she enjoys reading, baseball games, and yearly trips with her family to Texas.
Geraldine Perez
Medical Assistant
Geraldine born in El Salvador and raised in Los Angeles. She attended Montes Health Care Collage in Gardena where she received her certificate for Medical Assisting. She has 3 years of experience in Allergy and ENT. Her hobbies are going on walks with her dog Oreo and working out.
Anthony Garcia
Medical Assistant
Anthony Garcia was born and raised in Torrance CA. He attended UC Davis and graduated in 2022 with a degree in Biological Sciences in hopes of one day being a Physican Assistant. When not at the office you can find Anthony at the beach or at a country music concert with friends.
Diana Robinson

Diana is a Southern California native. She attended Downey Adult School where she received her Medical Assistant Certificate in 2016 and has been in the medical field since. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing degree. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, traveling, discovering new food places, and working out.

Ashley born in Los Angeles. Has a Mexican background. She attended El Camino College where she received her certificate for Medical Assisting. She has 1 year of experience in medical field. She is currently in school pursuing her nursing degree. On her free time she likes to paint, go out, shop and go to Disneyland.
