During your initial visit, Dr. Davis or one of our physician assistants will review your symptoms and history before recommending the right test for you. For most patients, that means skin testing, completed right here in the office, with results before you leave.

Things Patients Want To Know
How long does allergy testing take?
You first visit lasts a little over an hour, which includes consultation, examination, and results review, typically runs 45 to 60 minutes. We'll give you a clear time estimate when you schedule.
What's the difference between allergy shots and drops?
Both are immunotherapy; they work by gradually building your immune system's tolerance to specific allergens over time. The difference is how they're delivered. Shots are given by injection in our office and can be later transitioned to home; drops are placed under the tongue at home daily. The results are comparable. The right choice depends on your schedule, your comfort with needles, and how well you'd maintain a daily home routine. We'll talk through both with you.
Can my child be tested and treated here?
Yes. We see pediatric allergy patients of all ages. Testing is safe and adapted to be as comfortable as possible for kids. Allergy drops are often the preferred option for younger patients — needle-free and easy to do at home as part of a morning routine.
Do I need a referral to come in?
No referral is required. You can call us directly at (310) 372-0700 or book online. If your primary care physician has recommended an allergy evaluation, we're happy to coordinate with their office as well.
