Dr. Hurvitz is a Southern California native who is board certified in Plastic surgery and Otolaryngology. He specializes in rhinoplasty, facial cosmetic surgery, and body contouring procedures.
Plastic Surgeon Education & Credentials
Dr. Hurvitz completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) where he graduated with honors. He completed his medical education at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. He completed his residency at USC within their Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency program. During this 5-year surgical residency, Dr. Hurvitz decided to focus his efforts on perfecting his techniques in nasal surgery (rhinoplasty/septoplasty), facelift surgery (rhytidectomy) and eyelid lifting surgery (blepharoplasty). Dr. Hurvitz then decided to further his specialty training with a full 3-year General Plastic Surgery residency program at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). While there he broadened his surgical skills to encompass full body plastic surgery (breast augmentation and lifting, abdominoplasty, liposuction). Dr. Hurvitz is certified by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Otolaryngology. He has been practicing in Long Beach and the South Bay since 2007.

Achievements & Affiliations
Dr. Hurvitz has served as Chief of Plastic Surgery at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center since 2012. He previously served as Vice-Chief of Plastic Surgery from 2008-2012. He is a Volunteer Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery at UC Irvine and is the Plastic Surgery Residency Director at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center where he educates and trains plastic surgery residents. He is also an active member of the Long Beach Memorial Cleft Lip and Palate Team and regularly performs complicated reconstructions on infants born with facial deformities. Dr. Hurvitz has also published many academic papers.
