PROPEL Spacer Insertion

If you have already had surgery to remove polyps, we may recommend inserting a Propel spacer within the nose.

Some patients whose polyps have come back after surgery are candidates for placement of the Propel spacer inside the nose. The spacer releases topical steroids in the nose over a few weeks. It dissolves naturally and so removal is not necessary.

What to Expect

Dr. Davis places the Propel spacer in the office under local anesthesia. The process only takes a couple of minutes. Dr. Davis delivers the spacer using a small cannula that he places in the nostril. There is no downtime and minimal if any post-procedure discomfort. The spacer dissolves on its own so removal is not necessary.
